We are looking for a Production Assistant/Front of House Manager
Rosendal Teater creates a new permanent position as Production Assistant/Front of House Manager in a 60% position with start-up as soon as possible.
Rosendal Teater (formerly Teaterhuset Avant Garden) is one of three programming theaters in Norway, and moved into new premises in 2019. RT mediates, co-produces and facilitates experimental and innovative performing arts by Norwegian and international companies.
Production assistant 30% - assist Rosendal's producers.
Typical work tasks will include being to support the producers with planning of productions, recruitment of and responsibility for local participants in projects, and follow-up of the company when they are at Rosendal.
Both roles in the position are in the production department, and work in teams with production manager and producer(s). The production department has responsibility for communication with and facilitation for companies in connection with guest performances, co-productions, rental events, etc., and dissemination of this to the hosts.
Host responsible 30% - responsible for the coordination of the audience hosts.
Typical work tasks will include being able to set up duty lists and ensure that Front of House staff are assigned shifts, ensuring information flows between the Front of House staff and and the administration, recruitment and training of new hosts including the ticket system, and conduct regular start-up and evaluation meetings.
It is expected that the host manager works as an audience host as needed in addition to the fixed percentage.
We are looking for candidates with experience in production, audience hosting and/or ticket sales, preferably with an interest in performing arts. The candidate must be a good listener, who is well organized, has good collaboration skills, is service-minded, calm under stress and eager to learn.
Written and oral language skills in both Norwegian and English are desirable. The department performs some self-transport and driver's license class B is desirable. Experience with the use of ticket systems is desirable.
Form of employment:
60% permanent position. Some evening and weekend work is part of the ordinary work routine, and during busy periods extra work must be expected. Wages in accordance with agreement. Pension and insurance scheme. Time off schemes. Workplace is the premises the theater has at all times.
