nyMusikk Trondheim invites you to an evening of experimental and genre-defying music. Nearly free of traditional carols, the concert offers a refreshing mix of glitter and playfulness, melancholy and longing, love and sorrow – just like Christmas itself, really.

nyMusikk Trondheim is made up of passionate local musicians who aren’t afraid to challenge themselves or their audience. They collaborate with composers and performers from the city and the region’s vibrant music scene to present contemporary music in all its forms, composed and improvised, electric and acoustic, and maybe even a singalong or two.

This year’s julekonsert is relaxed. Such accommodations mean that the theatre and musicians adopt a relaxed attitude toward movement and sounds from the audience, audience members can come and go as they please, latecomers are allowed, and you can spend time in our relaxed space if needed during the concert. It will also be possible to sit on cushions and bean bags in the performance space as an alternative to chairs and benches.
