Nina Sætherhaug, mezzo-soprano (she/her) from Trondheim.

She holds a master’s degree in classical singing from the Norwegian Academy of Music and also studied at the University College of Opera in Stockholm. Nina made her debut at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre as Lisetta in Haydn’s opera Il mondo della Luna.

She is frequently engaged as a soloist in both sacred music and opera, and has performed with, among others, Opera Sør, Vadstena Opera Festival, West Green House, Opera Trøndelag, Operaen i Kristiansund, the Reykjavik Opera Days, Vestfold Symphony Orchestra and Opera, and the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and Opera. She has received numerous scholarships, including from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and the Wilhelmsen Foundation. Nina was previously a permanent member of the Trondheim Vocal Ensemble and is currently employed as a senior lecturer in classical singing at the NTNU Department of Music.

Nina brings with her and presents two of her voice students from the conservatory in Trondheim – the Department of Music at NTNU. These young singers demonstrate promising prospects for opera and vocal music in Central Norway.

Sigbjørn Berg Aastebøl (he/him) is a bass-baritone from Kongsberg.

In autumn 2025, he was admitted to the Queen Sonja Opera Academy, where he has worked with many exciting singers and directors from across Europe. Professionally, he has appeared as a soloist with the Trondheim TSO Choir and Opera di Setra, and most recently sang the bass part in Mozart’s Requiem with the Norwegian Boys’ Choir. Sigbjørn is currently in his second year of vocal studies at NTNU, Department of Music.

Sofie Glaser (she/her) is a 22-year-old soprano from Oslo, currently in her third year of a bachelor’s degree in classical singing at NTNU.

She has previous experience from the children’s choir of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, as well as musical training from Majorstuen School of Music, Foss Upper Secondary School, and Toneheim Folk High School. In Trondheim, she has participated in productions such as Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman and Orff’s Carmina Burana, in addition to performing at opera pub events at Krambua and other concerts.

Knut Erik Jensen, pianist (he/him).

Knut Erik has had a close collaboration with us at Operakafé at Rosendal since its inception in 2020. He lives in Selbu and is a university lecturer at NTNU, Department of Music, head of the piano class at the Saturday School, Trondheim Music School, and maintains an extensive freelance career. He holds a master’s degree in piano performance from the Trondheim Conservatory.

He has long been a highly sought-after musician in Trøndelag, particularly in opera as an accompanist and repetiteur, as well as a chamber musician and soloist. Since 2007, he has performed nearly 200 concerts in the United States, mostly as a solo artist but also with singers and as a soloist with orchestras. In recent years, highlights include performances of all of Grieg’s songs in Seattle across seven concerts, as well as appearances as soloist in piano concertos by Grieg and Klaus Egge. Among his own projects, he focuses extensively on Norwegian piano music.
