Join the sailing ship O’Hoi, where talking seagulls, goofy captains, and scary sea creatures are waiting!
This is a FREE musical performance about escaping from something difficult and about the importance of togetherness in finding joy again.
SHIP O’HOI! was created by Flying Seagulls, an organization that works with children and young people who have been displaced—whether by war, insecurity, or traumatic experiences—and who understand how important it is to be seen, heard, and included in play.
In this performance, community and cooperation are at the heart of the story, and with the children in the audience, the crew is complete. We work together, cheer each other on, and show that we are stronger when we stand united. The performance is filled with laughter, music, and warmth, reminding us that inclusion, achievement, and joy are things every person needs, no matter where they come from.
“Ship O’Hoi!” is part of the major family program KONGSGÅRDEN during the festival Olavsfest.
The project is a co-production between Olavsfest and Rosendal Teater, and is supported by Arts and Culture Norway, Trøndelag County Municipality, Trondheim Municipality, and SpareBank 1 SMN.
