Vake
By Nordenfjeldske Horlaug and Lisa Lie
A confidential, interactive performance that lasts an entire night.
Vake (Wake) is a confidential, interactive event lasting through one whole night. The audience is brought from Rosendal Teater to a secret place, a cabin, some sort of radio workshop, a camp fire, a naval battle, a ritual.
Performing artist Lisa Lie has created an experience where one steps into a collective space in which the line between participant and performer is blurred. This can be seen as a blend of a retreat in an alternative world, a workshop, a LARP, a witch coven, and much more.
If you need to withdraw, there is a zone outside, but you may also lie down and let your dreams become your vigil. If you can endure until dawn, you are promised more than you are required to give.
Vake explores the ritualistic and collective potential of theatre. It is an invitation to encounter the unknown – in the space, in others, and within yourself.
Vake remains a secret. An unspoken pact is formed among the participants: not everything is to be told. Sign up for a nocturnal journey into the unknown.

Participation
To participate in Vake, we first want to ensure that the experience is right for you and that you will be able to take part in what is going to happen. In Vake, all audience members are active participants, and each person is responsible for the kind of experience they have.
Therefore, you will need to go through a multi-step registration process:
- You fill out the form linked below.
- The producer of Vake will call you at the agreed time. The phone call is a preparatory conversation for the experience and will last between 5 and 10 minutes.
- You will receive an email with a link to purchase a ticket. You may only book a ticket for yourself, not for others. As always with us, the ticket price is “pay what you can.”
- As the performance approaches, you will receive more information and a packing list by email.

Rosendal Theatre does not have access to the form or personal information. Questions regarding access, changes, or deletion of the form should be sent to Ingrid@syvmil.no.
