Brazilian night

with Nabojazz & Samspill

Varighet: ca. 60 min.
Join us for a groovy Brazilian concert bringing rhythm and joy to Rosendal Kafé

Nabojazz (curated and often played by Udo Shlomo) has become an institution at Rosendal Teater, filling up the café once a month with the citiy’s best musicians. For Bastard the Nabojazz crew gathers with Samspill aiming to showcase the musical diversity of Brazilian music. The evening will be shaped by three percussionists from Brazil living in Norway, in a musical meeting to celebrate and perform their favourite B-side traditional grooves and songs.

For the concert, they invite Eiliv Andreas Myrern Ribe on violin and Oda Kristine Steiinkopf on double bass to collaborate. The audience can expect a groovy concert and a taste of Brazilian traditional music beyond the Samba and Bossa Nova.

I felt struck by Brazilian music, both playing and listening. So much joy and exciting rhythms! Since I moved to Trondheim, I felt that this music is not exposed enough here. So I'm extremely happy to get some of the best Brazilian musicians, together with wonderful local musicians, to play for you on this NaboJazz + Samspill +Rosendal Theater co-operation night.” Udi Shlomo, musician and head of Nabojazz
