Join us for the fabulous day-long Bizarra - an Argentine saga in ten episodes inspired by the colourful Latin-American soap opera format.
Bizarra is a bold and absurd satire that takes us back to Argentina an economic collapse. Here, politics, socioeconomics, and the supernatural intertwine in a reality that is both shocking and magical.
We meet the twin sisters Candela and Velita, who were separated at birth and raised in completely different worlds. Through the highs and lows of love, workplace accidents, and the struggle against poverty, they strive to change their destinies. Will their mother find them and reveal the truth about the night they were conceived? Can Candela save Argentina from bankruptcy? Will Velita get her Sebastián, her secret and one true love?
Join us for a marathon series at Rosendal Teater where the breaks aren't filled with commercials, but with soapy improv shows, auctioning off soap opera treasures, and a DJ playing late into the night. Bizarra is not just a performance; it's a feast for the senses and a reflection on the dreams and nightmares of capitalism.

Content description
Possible use of total blackout, use of smoke, sudden loud bangs and bright lights. Emotionally challenging depictions and themes may be present. Topics addressed in the text include: abuse , discrimination and/or prejudiced behaviour, drugs/alcohol/substance abuse, mental illness, and religious themes.
Rosendal Teater programs work that challenges what performing art can be, where it takes place and who will create it. We work with voices that are heard less often than others, that are marginalised and alternative. All this means that the performances can often be challenging in their content and expression. If you need to leave the show midway, we have a low threshold and a great deal of understanding for this. On the second floor you will find a relaxed space, where you can retreat. Rosendal Teater is placed in the eastern part of Trondheim, at the other side of the crossing near Lademoen Church. The closest bus stop is Rønningsbakken. Bicycle parking at our wall towards the gas station.
