DUS-festivalen
With Den Unge Scene
Discover the future of theatre at the DUS Festival!
Youth aged 13 to 19 have created and developed their own productions based on texts and concepts written specifically for them, and the results range from moving to raw. In this regional festival, six youth theater groups participate, bringing unique stories to the stage that reflect the lives, thoughts, and feelings of young people, with a wide range of genres from contemporary drama to experimental theater.
DUS - The Young Stage is a nationwide project that works to elevate the level of youth theater in Norway. DUS was established in 2004, and we are now in the midst of the tenth project round. Each round lasts two years, during which DUS commissions and develops theatrical texts and concepts specifically created for youth, and youth create performances based on the newly written texts.
A number of professional theater environments collaborate and guide the process in their regions. The groups then perform at regional festivals, before each round concludes with a nationwide festival for qualifying groups.
DUS promotes youth theater across the country, and now you have the chance to experience it at Rosendal Theater. Join us and support tomorrow's stage artists!
One of the performances will advance to the national festival at the Norwegian Theater in Oslo.
