Fabulation
By Bára Sigfúsdóttir and Orfee Schuijt
What is my body made of? Are the sensations I feel through my skin real?
In Fabulation, we follow the journey of two performers on an endless quest for connection. The dancers absorb each other's bodies in the same way insects blend into their surroundings by imitation, striving to become the other. Together, they create a world full of eccentricity, like a techno-organic storytelling with great amounts of musicality.
The dancers follow paths filled with fantasy and contemplation in this performance. In and out of magical wormholes, from one dancer to the other, ideas and impulses are exchanged back and forth and then flung out into the space.
Fabulation is a duo performance created and performed by choreographers Bára Sigfúsdóttir (IS/NO) and Orfee Schuijt (FR/NO). The performance balances between fiction and reality, questioning the materiality of things and exploring stories of bodily perceptions.

Rosendal Teater programs work that challenges what performing art can be, where it takes place and who will create it. We work with voices that are heard less often than others, that are marginalised and alternative. All this means that the performances can often be challenging in their content and expression. If you need to leave the show midway, we have a low threshold and a great deal of understanding for this. On the second floor you will find a relaxed space, where you can retreat. Read more about the relaxed space and accessibility here (link).
