Når det jeg egentlig vil er at du skal holde rundt meg

Andrew Tate, Jordan Petterson, Tix, Lars Monsen and Superman - what is really the essence of being a man? Is there a core? Where are the paradoxes? The gray areas? What is not told? Is the male role as free and spacious as we picture it?
The audience will meet three male actors in a man cave, where we will play with the male clichés and ideals of our time. In a control room next to it sits the female facilitator. She observes and studies the men, and interacts live with them via video. The men will never escape either each other's, the woman's or the audience's gaze, which turns the idea of the man as subject and observer upside down.
Exploration of themes around gender roles and self-image has been a common thread in Katja B. Lindeberg's artistry. The text material for the performance is taken from around twenty interviews and conversations with different men of different ages and backgrounds, and from the team's own research, including amongst other things a men's conference in Berlin. All to get a deeper understanding of what it means to be a man.
