No Dreams, No Gold
By Ingrid Berger Myhre og Lasse Passage
No Dreams, No Gold is perhaps a performance about pauses.
No Dreams, No Gold may also be about structure, performing one's own material, digressions, wet dreams, and electroacoustic music, about absence, about how and when one drinks coffee, about the ordinary and the extraordinary.
Ingrid Berger Myhre is a Norwegian dance artist based in Brussels. She holds a master’s degree in choreography, research, and performance. As a former amateur percussionist, she is now considering whether to make a comeback or retire completely.
Composer and musician Lasse Passage began studying composition at the Grieg Academy in Bergen and completed his bachelor’s degree in sonology (the study of sound) at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. His practice as a singer-songwriter wonderfully complicates his already diverse musical identity.
Ingrid and Lasse have different experiences and perspectives, but they share a space for negotiations that arise when they meet at the periphery of their own expertise. As a result, No Dreams, No Gold is a performance that takes refreshing liberties as it slides between a wide range of genres: from erotic radio dramas to hubris lectures and ruthless one-man bands.
Content description
This show is in development. Information about its content will be provided at a later stage.
Rosendal Theatre programs work that challenges what performing arts can be, where it takes place, and who creates it. We collaborate with voices that are less frequently heard, those that are marginalised and alternative. As a result, the performances often present challenging content and expressions. If you feel the need to leave the performance partway through, we maintain a low threshold and full understanding for this. On the second floor, you will find a relaxed zone where you can retreat. You can read more about the relaxed zone and accessibility here.
