Operakafé - Is This It?’ - en håpløs konsert

by Operavennforening for Skeive Stemmer and Operakafé på Rosendal

Operavennforening is fortunate to present 3 outstanding soloists at Operakafé on 19 March! Eldrid Gorset and Therese-Angelle Khachik sopranos, and Patrick Egersborg baritone. We present a brand new concept performance - an opera singer's perspective on the climate crisis!
Storyline: Opera singer Patrick Egersborg will perform famous songs by Edvard Grieg, but the concert ends in a completely different way than the audience had expected... In the shadow of all the threats that surround us, Patrick Egersborg has developed an operatic doomsday show where everything is at stake. Characters such as The Flying Dutchman, Macbeth, Rigoletto and Javert are given new life and context in the last opera concert in history.

The audience will also experience the sopranos Eldrid Gorset and Therese-Angelle Khachik, from Skeive Stemmer, each with their own distinctive character. They contribute by interpreting their own favourite roles and music in this fairytale, where anything can happen. Knut Erik Jensen accompanies Doomsday with stoic calm at the piano.

The development of the text and concept was supported by Fritt Ord.
