Propellen Theatre has launched a new development project focused on ARTivism – an artistic practice that combines art and activism to highlight social chal- lenges and explore alternative solutions.

In response to an increasingly complex and fragmented world, Propellen aims to gather and share experiences from various ARTivist projects to further develop the genre. The project emphasizes practical collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional dialogue to strengthen both the network and the artistic work.

How is ARTivism practised in performing arts around the world? What themes are emerging globally, and how are they relevant to us? What kind of performing artists are we educating – and what skills will tomorrow’s artists need? Propellen invites you to a professional development day exploring ARTivism through both practice and theory.

The day will feature a rich programme of workshops, contextual input and professional conversations – including a panel discussion.
