Mammalian Diving Reflex has 30 years of experience creating performative works that redistribute power dynamics and teach us to listen to those who are otherwise not heard.
Rosendal Café is resurrected this evening as a community hub where everyone who attends will experience a performance built around brand new ideas for art projects in our neighborhood.
All of these have been developed by 15 local artists in collaboration with Mammalian Diving Reflex and residents of the area. What projects could emerge from a meeting with a neighbor who has lived on Bakkaunet for 60 years? Or with the priest, or the people who run the pub? Be prepared for project ideas in all formats, shapes, and timeframes, alongside stories about how the participants' perspectives on urban space have changed through encounters with those who live here. Of course, we also invite politicians, local development initiatives, and developers. Maybe the best idea ever will emerge tonight!
Adrift is both an exercise in creating art and a presentation of a utopian world in a future where community has greater meaning.

Rosendal Theatre programs work that challenges what performing arts can be, where it takes place, and who creates it. We collaborate with voices that are less frequently heard, those that are marginalised and alternative. As a result, the performances often present challenging content and expressions. If you feel the need to leave the performance partway through, we maintain a low threshold and full understanding for this. On the second floor, you will find a relaxed zone where you can retreat. Rosendal Teater is placed in the eastern part of Trondheim, at the other side of the crossing near Lademoen Church. The closest bus stop is Rønningsbakken. Bicycle parking at our wall towards the gas station.
