After The Last Prayers
Marie Rechsteiner
A physical exploration of belief, uncertainty and togetherness
In After The Last Prayers, Marie Rechsteiner brings together five dancers and a musician in a ritualistic performance exploring the complexities of belief. What do we believe in when we stop believing? How do we find meaning and belonging when the known narratives lose their power?
Moments of conviction and doubt merge. Sound, movement and scenography act as equal forces. Everything pulses, transforms and influences each other. Movement becomes both prayer and protest, a search and a surrender – an experiment in shared presence and bodily communication.
After The Last Prayers is an experience shaped by repetition, resistance and devotion. The audience is invited into a space that oscillates between the collective and the individual, between the rational and the ecstatic—where the boundaries between art, ritual and reality blur.
There will be an artist talk after the performance Thursday 5th of February
