Cuerpos Celestes
by El Conde de Torrefiel
An audio guided walk through the cemetary
Cuerpos Celestes (Celestial Bodies) is an audio guide created by El Conde de Torrefiel that dramatizes the public space of the cemetery.
Cemeteries are cities like any other: they have central neighborhoods and suburbs, wealthy districts and poor ones, prominent figures and anonymous souls.
A dormitory town built from stone and concrete, structured with paved streets, buildings, and green spaces - the doppelgänger of the city of the living, in the purest Freudian sense. An eclectic and vibrant narration invites and accompanies listeners through the unique stage design of the city of the dead.
A place both unsettling and exhilarating, marked simultaneously by the presence and absence of all those who once lived their lives laughing, talking, and shouting. If they were to awaken all at once, even for just a moment, they would transform this space into a football stadium, a protest march, or a carnival celebration.
Like Virgil guiding Dante, this audio walk through the cemetery whispers secrets of the dead, pondering: what comes after life?
This walk can be done before october 16th.
You complete the walk whenever it suits you during this period.
To take part in this walk, you will need:
a blank sheet of paper (any size), a pen, a lighter, and a smartphone with a camera and sufficient battery life for the duration of the walk.
The audio is now available
