For everyone over 13 years of age!
Stories about the Sami's resistance to the development of the Alta-Kautokeinovassdraget in Finnmark, Norway. No single incident has affected Sápmi more deeply. The conflict also had major ripple effects in society at large.
The performance is a documentary drama about the Alta action 1979 -1982. Three actual people who took part in the Alta campaign get their stories presented in the play, they are interviewed as witnesses, and the audience gets to hear three Sami perspectives on the story. Three main incidents are in focus: the hunger strike in Oslo in 1979, the police action in Stilla in 1981, the bridge-breaking attempt in 1982.
The story is told with dialogue, monologue, song, rap, yoik, hip hop and dance, and will also contain documentary and historical / artistic material.
