JAM
By Anne Golberg Stavn
- a pop-up performance where club and street dance meet public space.
JAM explores and challenges the boundaries between dance as an art form and social dance. The goal is to reach an audience who may not expect to see dance, thereby including more people in the dance community. The dancers adjust to how people use different public spaces and what vibes are present there, and the performance can be experienced up close or from a distance, for ten seconds or 45 minutes. People can watch from a distance or join in. In this way, JAM can be both a performance and - as the title shows - a jam.
The performance is presented by DansiT and is a part of Multiplié Dance Festival 2025
Content description
Rosendal Theatre programs work that challenges what performing arts can be, where it takes place, and who creates it. We collaborate with voices that are less frequently heard, those that are marginalised and alternative. As a result, the performances often present challenging content and expressions. If you feel the need to leave the performance partway through, we maintain a low threshold and full understanding for this. On the second floor, you will find a relaxed zone where you can retreat. You can read more about the relaxed zone and accessibility here.
