What Can Improvisation Bring to Dance, Choreography, and Society?

Age limit 18+

After the performance Øya ~ lydstrømmer, Multiplié Dance Festival invites you to an artist talk exploring the possibilities and significance of improvisation—both in dance, as a choreographic tool, and as a way of engaging with the world around us.

The conversation brings together artists with diverse backgrounds and perspectives:

Anna Thu Schmidt – dance artist and leader of ImproDans Trondheim

Øyvind Brandtsegg – musician and co-creator in Øya ~ lydstrømmer

Anne Golberg Stavn – street dancer and choreographer of JAM

Andrea Winsnes – dance artist and choreographer of Stillhet & mørke – EKKO

Elen Øyen – dance artist and producer at DansiT

The conversation will be moderated by dance artist Rannei Grenne, and will reflect on how improvisation shapes artistic processes, stage expressions, and our connection to the world around us.

When the talk concludes, the evening continues in collaboration with Kunsthall Trondheim. Take time to reflect, move freely, share impressions, or simply enjoy the atmosphere in great company.

The bar is open, the music is flowing! Join us and end your week with inspiration and movement!
