Makker
By Landing
- a tactile and exploratory dance performance for young people with diverse abilities.
Having a “makker” (buddy) means having someone to share something with, or someone to be with. The stage design in Makker consists of large, tactile objects that can inspire and activate movement; a space where we can be differently bodied individuals who discover and explore the "terrain" in our own ways without being reminded of our own limitations. As the space gradually changes, different moods and worlds emerge, which everyone can experience through their own interpretations and imagination.
The Norwegian based dance company Landing has extensive experience in creating site-specific and engaging art experiences for children and young people. The goal in their work is to experience and focus on the body itself. The performance is interactive, with a flexible structure that adapts to those who participate.
The performance is presented by DansiT and is a part of Multiplié Dance Festival 2025
Content description
Rosendal Theatre programs work that challenges what performing arts can be, where it takes place, and who creates it. We collaborate with voices that are less frequently heard, those that are marginalised and alternative. As a result, the performances often present challenging content and expressions. If you feel the need to leave the performance partway through, we maintain a low threshold and full understanding for this. On the second floor, you will find a relaxed zone where you can retreat. You can read more about the relaxed zone and accessibility here.
