Relaxed Conversations med Back to Back Theatre

Webinar with Ingrid Voorendt

Duration: 90 min
We’re back with our relaxed conversation on 16th of October 2024 at 10am 👑 This time the Australian Back to Back Theatre will give us an insight into their production process.

This is the second installment of our relaxed conversations, you can watch the first one here.

As Rosendal Teater continues to transition towards becoming a relaxed venue, the house seeks to encourage Norway’s art and culture sector to discover and get involved in the relaxed venue concept. That means supporting organisations in their work to discover, develop and adopt initiatives and reforms at all levels of their activities. This makes their events and engagements less disabling, as well as more inviting, accessible, and inclusive towards people of different abilities.

The second webinar in the series will take place on the 16th of October at 10:00 Norwegian time (CET), and last for about 90 minutes. Join Artistic Associate of Back to Back Theatre, Ingrid Voorendt, to gain insights into how they shape their working processes by joining one yourself. The session will contain a play with bodies, domestic objects, pot plants, and dialogues. Be prepared to move, improvise, and write. Please have with you an object you love or feel a strong attachment to. If you have a pot plant in your space, place it so it’s within your video frame.

Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of background or experience. We hope to generate interest in this topic as widely as possible. The discussions will take place online and will be held in English. Live captioning will be available to turn on, and the event will be interpreted into Norwegian Sign Language.

To attend the webinar you must register with your name and email address. After registration, you will receive an email with a link to the webinar. Please note that receiving the link may take up to 20 minutes. So make sure you are registered at least an hour before the webinar.

When you receive the email, we recommend adding the event to your calendar for easy access when logging in.

When it's time for the webinar, either click "join the event" in the email you received or by clicking on the event in your calendar.

BACK TO BACK THEATRE

Over the last 30 years Back to Back Theatre has made a body of work that questions the assumptions of what is possible in theatre, but also the assumptions we hold about ourselves and others.

As an ongoing dialogue with their audience, each new project is an investigation seeking answers to questions raised in previous works. Their attention lies with design, light, and sound. The stories they pursue weave the personal, the political and the cosmic. They work to curiosity and interest in the live moment, to what sits within and between.

Back to Back Theatre is based in Geelong, Australia.
