Language: Norwegian, but the musical work can be experienced in its own no matter level of language skills

As if I've been here before is musician and composer Gyrid Nordal Kaldestad's final project in her artistic PhD at NTNU. During the last four years, Kaldestad has worked her way into the artistic material through concerts, installations, performances and sound walks. As part of these various artistic processes, she has written poetry, diary notes and reflections related to memories of music, of encounters across time and place, and of landscapes.

The work has gradually circled towards three key words, which in various ways can be said to form the basis of this concluding work:

Tilstand. (eng: Condition)

Stillstand. (eng: Stillness)

Avstand. (eng: Distance)

The audience is welcomed into a composition that moves through several of Rosendal Theatre's rooms. The composition consists of acoustic and electronic sound, light, text and movement, and is performed by eight musicians, a dance artist and a light artist
