Stillhet og Mørke - EKKO
By Danselaboratoriet & Danseteateret / Andrea Winsnes
- a dance performance that embodies the phenomenon of silence in relation to public space.
The choreographic work is inspired by the findings of silence researcher Olga V. Lehmann, who shows that there is no such thing as pure silence. Silence is a space in-between, and thus mutually dependent on, noise, sounds, movements, and language. What can we find in this space in-betweens?
Stillhet og mørke – EKKO is created in collaboration with and performed by Danselaboratoriet and Danseteateret, and will premiere at the Multiplié Dance Festival 2025. The performance has grown out of the project, Stillhet og mørke, originally developed by the choreographic duo Winsnes/Ålskog.
The project aims to make dance accessible to the casual passerby, with free outdoor performances in busy public spaces. The performance is suitable for curious passersby of all ages.
The performance is presented by DansiT and is a part of Multiplié Dance Festival 2025
