VEGGEN, or THE WALL, is a performative video installation that changes ordinary urban spaces so that they can be seen and experienced in completely new ways. VEGGEN wants to create a sense of community in a time where human relationship and togetherness is / has been subject to restrictions. The project wants to take away the responsibility of the individual spectator and ensure that the experience takes place on the premises of art. Instead of having to take the initiative yourself, this experience is something that appears unexpectedly. It should contribute to a feeling that art has its own determining power and a physical presence that is not possible to just turn off.
Three different solo sequences have been filmed separately. These solos are then projected together, side by side and on top of each other - and together make up the complete work. VEGGEN was created by Trine Lise Moe, Jonathan Ibsen and Fredrik Petrov - with support from the Norwegian Cultural Council, Oslo Municipality, Dansens Hus and Bærum Kulturhus.
This performance is part of Multiplié dance festival 2022 which is presented by DansiT.
